Sunpack Display Stands
Display units built in Sunpack — a polypropylene hollow board that is water resistant, light, foldable and takes direct UV printing.
Sunpack (also sold as hollow board, PP flute board or corrugated plastic) is an extruded polypropylene sheet with a fluted core. It behaves like corrugated board structurally but does not absorb water, which is why it holds its shape in humid stores and survives being wiped down.
It is our default material for campaign displays that travel. A Sunpack unit folds flat, weighs little, arrives without soft corners, and can be stored and reused for the next campaign if it has been handled reasonably.
None of that is automatic. The sheet comes in different thicknesses and densities, and a structure built in the wrong one will flex under load no matter how good the printing is. We specify thickness against the loaded weight per shelf and the intended usage period.

Customisation options
- Sheet thickness matched to product weight
- Flat-pack folding pattern
- Direct UV printing on board
- Riveted or slot-assembled structure
- Reusable shelf inserts
Sizes and configuration
- Sheet thickness selected against load per shelf and usage duration.
- Floor, counter and shelf structures all available in the same material family.
- Cut, creased, punched and slotted to the structure your product needs.
- Reusable shelf inserts and dividers where refilling is frequent.
Printing
- Artwork printed directly onto the board surface by UV — no lamination step.
- Print survives handling better than a mounted paper sheet, which lifts at the edges.
- Solid brand colours and fine detail both hold on board.
- Single or double-sided printing depending on how the unit is viewed.
Folding, packing and assembly
- Polypropylene creases and folds without cracking, which is what makes flat-pack possible.
- Folded units cut freight volume significantly against pre-assembled rigid displays.
- Fold lines are designed with the structure so the unit still sits square once assembled.
- Units can be folded back down for storage between campaigns.
Weight and load
- Sunpack can carry meaningful weight when thickness, span and supports are designed for it.
- The limit is set by load per shelf and shelf span — not by the material name alone.
- Internal ribs, double-walled shelves and reinforced bases extend what the material can hold.
- Beyond a certain load, honesty is cheaper than a rebuild: we will recommend a different material.
Placement and environment
- Indoor retail and sheltered semi-outdoor placement. The board is water resistant; long direct sun exposure over months will still affect printed surfaces, so tell us where the unit will sit.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sunpack the same as corrugated plastic sheet?
Yes — Sunpack, hollow board, PP flute board and corrugated plastic all describe the same family of extruded polypropylene sheet. What varies between suppliers is thickness and density, which is exactly what determines how much your stand can carry.
How long does a Sunpack stand last?
For typical indoor retail placement, a correctly specified unit comfortably covers a campaign of several weeks to several months, and can often be reused afterwards. Life depends far more on load, handling and board thickness than on time alone.
Can Sunpack stands be recycled?
Polypropylene is a recyclable plastic and the board can go into PP recycling streams where those are available locally. Practical availability of that stream varies by city, so we would rather state the material honestly than make an environmental claim we cannot verify for your location.
